Sturm Cosmetic Surgery announced plans to expand, relocate and add an independent surgery center inside a new medical office building, located at the corner of Philadelphia Street and Baltimore Drive, just off East 13th Street in Ames, Iowa. Construction on the site started this week.

“We’re thrilled to relocate our offices and expand to this new medical facility,” said Dr. Lindsay Sturm, owner and lead physician of Sturm Cosmetic Surgery. “Having our own surgery center will allow us to offer a more consistent and exceptional experience to our patients. Not only will this be more convenient for them, but having our own surgery facility also means we can focus on delivering the most comfortable and personalized experience for our patients in this calming and beautiful location.”

Sturm selected DocCentric as its surgery center development partner, a group offering development and management of independent surgery facilities.

“Dr. Sturm is just the kind of physician that DocCentric was created to serve because she is business savvy and an exceptional surgeon,” said Teri Yates, president of DocCentric. “We specialize in helping independent physicians successfully expand into partial or complete ownership of a surgery center. We manage the details, so they can stay focused on patient care. We’re looking forward to facilitating this joint project with Sturm Cosmetic Surgery.”

DocCentric selected Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Noon Development LLC to build the medical office that will be home to Sturm Cosmetic Surgery as well as add other medical offices. Additional leases are available. The new construction will initially add a 6,235-square-foot medical building. Based on demand, additional professional space can be added to the development and could provide up to an additional 10,000-square-foot building on the same site, just off East 13th Street in Ames, Iowa.

“We’re excited to announce this project in partnership with DocCentric and Dr. Sturm,” said Bob Elliott, president of Noon Development LLC. “We see a shortage of new medical space across the country, especially for cities similar to Ames. Looking at how the area is growing and expanding, we know we can meet the needs of physicians who want to own their own medical office space. This way, they can offer the best location and modern amenities to their patients.”

Generous parking, two separate suites and customization for tenants are just a few of the building’s amenities. Anyone interested in leasing or joint ownership can contact Robby Robinson at 423-498-5481. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by 2022.
